BRUCE CONNER October 12 - November 19, 2022 Gallery Paule Anglim is pleased to announce an exhibition of works by the internationally celebrated artist BRUCE CONNER. The gallery will feature a group of large tapestries by Bruce Conner woven in Belgium under the supervision of Magnolia Editions. The tapestries represent a personal relationship to illustrations of the New and Old Testaments of the Bible. Woven in black and white, the tapestries offer another unique use of a traditional medium by this innovative and legendary artist. Bruce Conner's career marks an individualists path. He is a central figure in the evolution of new media and unconventional art forms. His creations in film, photography, drawing, sculpture and painting have surprised and opened perceptual doors since 1950. The gallery will also show selected works by the artist including paintings, drawings, wood engraving collages and sculpture. Bruce Conner's work was the focus of a touring exhibition, 2000 B.C.: The Bruce Conner Story Part II, organized at the Walker Art Center.
